Pediatric Dentistry

What is pediatric dentistry?

At Peak Dental Care, we enjoy caring for patients of all ages, including children. Pediatric dentistry is dental care focused specifically on the unique dental needs of our young patients. We especially want to make certain that your child’s smile develops properly as they grow, and we focus on helping your child build good dental hygiene habits while they are young so their smile will stay healthy for life.

Do I need to take my child to the dentist?

We encourage you to bring your child to our office for a routine dental exam at least once every six months. During these visits, we will gently examine your child’s smile to make sure it is developing as it should and to check for any dental problems that require treatment. If needed, we will provide a basic teeth cleaning to help your child’s teeth stay healthy. Your child may also need a filling or other treatment if their smile is affected by decay or damage. Routine dental visits typically include fluoride treatment as well; fluoride helps to ensure that your child’s teeth grow strong and stay free from decay.

Be sure to teach your child to brush and floss every day, and help them maintain a balanced diet with a limited amount of sugary foods. Dr. Scott Lindsay and our team are always happy to answer any questions you may have about pediatric dentistry in Centennial, Colorado, and how you can help your child keep their smile in good health.
