What is oral surgery?
Oral surgery includes a number of surgical dental treatments we may recommend to improve the function, health, and appearance of your smile. Dr. Scott Lindsay is specially trained to provide several forms of oral surgery in Centennial, Colorado. Our options for oral surgery include the following:
- Bone grafting — When a tooth is lost or removed, the bone begins to deteriorate. In order to successfully place a dental implant or other restoration, a bone graft may be needed to restore the structure of the bone.
- Soft tissue (gum) grafting — If your gums have receded due to periodontal disease or if you are interested in improving the appearance of your gum line, a soft tissue graft may be recommended.
- Implant placement (computer guided) — The implant process includes the surgical placement of the implant post. At Peak Dental Care, we use an advanced computer-guided system for the best possible results.
- Wisdom teeth removal — If there is not enough room for the wisdom teeth to come in properly, or if they are impacted, our dentist may recommend removing them.
